From Our 2007 Paint the Parks Competition:
Q. Can I enter more than once?
A. Yes, enter as many entries as you wish, for as many parks as you wish. Entering in multiple regions provides you better chances to advance to the national Top100, and more opporutnities for national recognition of your work.
Q. Does my entry need to represent a park in my state or region?
A. No. Your entry or entries may represent any park in the nation, and as many parks as you wish.
Q. How do I know what region my park is in?

Q. What if I can’t download the entry form?
A. Just email us at mail@paintamerica.org and ask us to send you a Paint the Parks entry form via snail mail. AOL users will likely have trouble with downloads. Try using a browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox. Also, be sure you have downloaded the most recent version of Adobe Reader, a free download from Adobe.com
Q. Can I put all my entries on one CD?
A. Yes, as long as each is clearly marked and identifiable which entry is which. Be sure to include a separate entry form and fee for each piece of artwork.
Q. Where do proceeds from the entries go?
A. Unlike contests that are run for profit, PaintAmerica Competition proceeds go to support the programs and initiatives of PaintAmerica, a non-profit organization devoted to supporting and promoting the visual arts through education, networking, and advocacy. Paint the Parks is just one of these programs, building awareness of established and emerging artists, establishing networks with galleries, exhibit opportunities, and art patrons; providing purchase awards and cash prizes, and opportunities for artists to have their work recognized at state and national levels. The competition also give artists an opportunity to have their work judged by nationally recognized artists.
Q. How are judges chosen?
A. Paint the Parks jurors are chosen from highly qualified and nationally recognized artists and arts professionals from multiple disciplines including oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, etc. These artist/jurors are chosen from different geographic areas, and include male and female judges.
Q. I do not live in the United States, am I still eligible to enter?
A. Yes. The competition is open to artists anywhere in the world. The subject matter must depict a US National Park, and the entry form must be completed in English, with entry fees submitted in US dollars.
